Disabled Vehicle Ties Up Traffic On I-95 In Fairfax County For Miles

Some motorists were held up for several miles on I-95 on Wednesday afternoon in Virginia due to a disabled vehicle.

At around 2:45 p.m. on June 26, the Virginia Department of Transportation issued an alert cautioning that drivers can expect delays in the southbound lanes of the interstate around Fairfax County as the incident was investigated.

According to the DOT, as of 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the south, left center lane is closed, causing an estimated three-mile backup.

The incident remains under investigation.
